Pros and cons of Trucks HD - by Duck Duck Moose app for iPhone and iPad

Trucks HD - by Duck Duck Moose app good for

This game is simple enough my 2 year old is able to play without frustration. No extra levels just a repetitive play with simple commands and 1 option when touching an item to make is move.
I have three grandchildren, (just turned) 6 girl, 4 boy, 2 boy. Well the bigger two are totally comfortable with the iPad and have been so for years. Its hard to get it from their sticky little fingers sometimes. The littlest always wants to imitate the bigger two and he is a real sweetie, running after them with his short fat legs. They wait but he wanted to be able to use the iPad by himself. This program lets him. He uses only the dump truck one so far. What is interesting is how many times he will replay it in a given session. I can see him thinking about it as he plays it, over and over. It demonstrates the huge divide between older and younger users, a divide often ignored by app writers. An app, to be successful for a very young child, needs to be simple and straight forward. The fewer details, the better. The easier for the child to get to the app, start it up an re-start it, these are essential and rare in child apps so far. He knows what he wants to do and doesnt need my help to do it. After all, the little one has only ten or fifteen minutes until gma is going to kick his little bottom off the screen and into the back yard, so he needs to maximise his time.:)
im an app developer as well and this company is the only one I BUY BABY APPS FROM, THEY MAKE AMAZING games and they are so entertaining for my 2 year old. These apps make it hard for a baby to touch something that takes them away from the games. We love them in our family.. thanks good job guys

Some bad moments

Theres nothing too this app, not worth the $. Also my second review, I guess theyre not publishing the negative ones.
One of the coolest kids apps Ive ever purchased. Got this for my nephew who is 4, and he cant get enough of it. He showed it to me, and I guess I know why he got hooked; great graphics, cheerful music, overall fun and easy to use, and a shark is rocking electric guitar in the carwash! This apps also teaches kids to recycle. I highly recommend this game!
Any boy would love this. Its playing in the mud with trucks, washing them, changing out the wheels. My four year old can figure it ALL out with no help. He is a bit advanced and has his own ipad, but kept him captivated for at least a day or two.
My 3 yr old loves this app. He loves fixing the flat tires and getting the cars muddy. He would play it nonstop if I would let him. I highly recommend it for a toddler. I also like the recycling game on it.
This app is Great! My 2yr old boy LOVES it!!! Great comeback DDM
My four year old grandson loves this app....he is especially enjoying the garbage recycle component....thanks for a job well done...mary
